Hanging Birdhouse
I want to paint a Birdhouse….?
Hi. My mom wants a birdhouse for her big porch (to hang over the roof overhang) and I bought one at the craft store. I have acrylic paints and plan on sealing it, but my question is, do i need to paint anything over the wood BEFORE i paint it? Or does it not matter. I’m just looking to get a nice rich color. I don’t want the paint to be absorbed by the wood too soon and look dull after a short time. Your thoughts? Thanks
I have some semi gloss and matte “finish” would that be the same thing? Cause it says to use before or after the project to improve longevity … i think it’s regular acrylic paint, but it’s “finish”

seal it
2 coats of a clear paint like withe
then paint the color you want then seal it and ready!!
