Tree Swallow Housing?

Hi, I have a Birdhouse in my yard that is just a regular little birdhouse that I put out there to keep sparrows away from my purple martin house. Well, instead of sparrows, I got some tree swallows nesting in it. I’m really happy, I love those birds! But, the house is too small for them. They have a baby in it right now and it is pretty big, I think it is about to leave the nest. My question is, will they have another baby after that one? Do they still breed, it is only June and I live in Ohio (if that matters). If they will have another baby, I want to give them a bigger and better house. My next question is, if I were to put a regular tree swallow house out there, would they accept it? Or would they not like it because it is different?

Yes, once thier chick leaves the nest, there is a good chance they will have a 2nd brood. You can replace the old house with a larger one. Tree swallows are not very picky and will pretty much use any nest box provided. If they decide not to have a 2nd nest this year..you can certainly leave it up for other birds to use, or they may decide to use it again next year.
